Pests harm the plantation equally or even more than the growth of the weeds. Specific insecticide can be spread to control the pests and kill them thereby keeping the land area free of the insects which might spoil the plantation. But regular and repeated use of chemicals can pose a danger to the life and quality of the plantations. Hence such pest control methods are required which won’t affect the growth of plants. Organic pest control methods are best in this respect as they don’t cause any side effects to the plant’s growth.

Again encouraging the predators which eat away the pests and at the same time don’t pests and diseasesaffect the land and the plants there in is an advisable approach. Rotating the crops in the same land keeps maintaining the quality of soil and hence better harvest can be obtained. The ownership can be made private or public. These days terrace gardens are gaining popularity and are specifically owned by restaurants and clubs. Again it adds to the scenic beauty of the place. Gardens can contain not only plants and shrubs Gardnesbut also lawns and artificial plants too. A fountain or a water pool would add up making the surroundings prettier.

A few animals and pets are kept in the garden and are a source of amusement for the kids. At times granny can grow certain vegetables in the garden too.
